What is handover documentation?

Handover documentation is the evidence that a system was designed, installed, tested and commissioned as intended: test records, certificates, sign-off sheets and supporting documents, compiled and organised for acceptance. EJH also produces a project journey pack: a single, continuously numbered document telling the story of the project, from enquiry and quotation through delivery to completion. It gives the people who inherit the system the context behind the decisions, which the O&M manual alone cannot.

What's included

  • Completed inspection and test records and sign-off sheets
  • Certificates and commissioning records
  • A project journey pack covering enquiry, delivery and completion
  • A clear list of what has been delivered and approved
  • Everything published to your Client Portal

How EJH produces handover documentation

Because the evidence is captured as the work happens, through ITP sign-off sheets, commissioning records and approved documents, handover is a matter of compiling what already exists rather than chasing it at the end. The project journey pack is built from the same records, so it reads as one cohesive document.

What it means for your project

  • Faster acceptance, with every record already in place
  • No last-minute scramble for missing certificates or sign-offs
  • Context for future maintenance teams, owners and auditors
  • A professional record of the project for your own files

Frequently asked questions

What is a project journey pack?

A project journey pack is a single document telling the story of the project, covering enquiry, delivery and completion, so whoever inherits the system understands how and why it came to be as it is.

How is it different from the O&M manual?

The O&M manual explains how to operate and maintain the system. The project journey pack gives the context behind it: the decisions, changes and history of the project.

When do we receive the handover pack?

Documents are published to your Client Portal as they are approved, and the complete handover pack is compiled at completion.
